SUMICERAM®-S -Heat resistant adhesives-

SUMISERAM®-S has a high heat resistance and maintains high adhesion at a temperature over 1000°C.

Features of Product

  • This is a water based single component adhesive and easy to use.
  • It cures at a low temperature (100°C - 300°C).
  • When it cures, it becomes a ceramic-like highly hard material.
  • It has excellent heat-resistance, chemical-resistance and water-resistance.
  • No noxious fume is generated when it cures.
  • It demonstrates a strong adhesive power against various inorganic materials.

* We have a wide variety of grades of SUMICERAM®-S with different viscosities and different heat expansion coefficients beside the above listed.

Precautions

  • Re-dispersion before use: Since sedimentation occurs, please disperse it before use to make it uniform. If its viscosity is too high, dilute it with water.
  • Shelf life: 3 months for a weak alkaline type after it is manufactured and 6 months for other types
  • Please wear protective equipment such as goggles and gloves when the product is acidic or alkaline.
  • Thoroughly degrease the surface of the materials to be bonded.

Storage conditions

Store the product in a refrigerator (5-10°C) or a cold dark place (25°C). A high temp storage will shorten its shelf life. When it is frozen, its physical properties will be deteriorated and may become unusable.

Points of concern

  • Since it is not flexible, it is not suitable for items which need flexibility or impact resistance.
  • No air tightness
  • Not usable for plastic materials
