1948 April Company is established.
(Manufacturing of industrial chemicals and ammonia is started.)
1952 July Manufacturing of IBIT (acid corrosion inhibitor), etc. is started.
1958 March Shigino Works is established and starts manufacturing inorganic products.
1959 October Manufacturing of liquid aluminum sulfate (LAS) is started.
1964 October Tokyo Office in Chuo-ku, Tokyo is inaugurated.
1968 October Hirakata Works is established and starts manufacturing inorganic products.
Tokushima Works is established in Anan City, Tokushima Prefecture and starts manufacturing liquid aluminum sulfate (LAS).
1969 May Manufacturing of poly aluminum chloride (PAC) is started in Shigino Works.
October Yonago Works is established in Saihaku County, Tottori Prefecture and starts manufacturing liquid aluminum sulfate (LAS).
1975 October Nichinan Works is established in Nichinan City, Miyazaki Prefecture and starts manufacturing liquid aluminum sulfate (LAS)
1978 February Manufacture and sales of cleaning agents for steel (current ASAFINE products) is started.
1983 October Domestic business rights of IBIT are transferred to Asahi Chemical from Sumitomo Chemical Industry Co., Ltd.
1985 November Manufacturing of SUMICERAM is started.
1986 December Business rights (in domestic and overseas markets) of SUMICERAM are transferred to Asashi Chemical from Sumitomo Chemical Industry Co., Ltd.
1988 April Overseas business rights of IBIT are transferred to Asahi Chemical from Sumitomo Chemical Industry Co., Ltd.
1992 July Manufacturing technology for poly aluminum chloride is exported to Thailand.
1998 April Niihama Works is established in Niihama City in Ehime Prefecture and starts manufacturing LUXELEN, for which business rights were transferred to Asahi Chemical from Sumitomo Chemical Industry Co., Ltd.
Sales business rights of inorganic flocculant products are transferred to Asahi Chemical from Sumi- Al Product Sales Co., Ltd.
2000 July The Shiraoi, Asahikawa, Iwanuma and Fuji Works of Koei Chemical Co., Ltd. are transferred to Asahi Chemical and start manufacturing inorganic flocculant products, etc.
2003 April Sales rights of inorganic flocculant products are transferred to Asahi Chemical from Sumitomo Chemical Industry Co., Ltd.
July Shigino Works and Hirakata Works are moved to the area of Osaka Plant of Sumitomo Chemical Industry Co., Ltd. The manufacturing facilities for poly aluminum chloride (PAC) are moved to the area of Ehime Plant of Sumitomo Chemical Industry Co., Ltd. and the PAC business is transferred to Asahi Chemical.
2004 March Asahikawa Works is closed.
April Headquarters is moved to the current Sumitomo Fudosan Yokobori Building.
2010 March Heat-resistant adhesives and paints business is acquired from Nissan Chemical Industries, Ltd.
2011 March Withdrawal from LUXELEN business.
2013 April Business rights of liquid aluminum sulfate and sodium aluminate transferred to Asahi Chemical from Sumitomo Chemical Industry Co., Ltd.
Sales of solid aluminum sulfate stopped due to withdrawal from the business by Sumitomo Chemical Industry Co., Ltd.
October Tokyo Branch in Chuo-ku moved from Nihonbashikayaba-cho to Nihonbashikoami-cho.
2017 August Tokushima Works is changed to Tokushima Stock point due to termination of manufacturing of liquid aluminum sulfate at that location.
2019 April Iwanuma Works is closed.
